Solid Bond

Playwright Mark Ravenhill celebrates the renaissance of Edward Bond with this piece in London’s Guardian. His best work, like Lear, Saved, Restoration, Bingo, The Sea and Have I None are classics of contemporary theatre and easily stand beside the masterpieces of Brecht and Beckett. Yet his work is so rarely seen outside of continental Europe. Ravenhill and The Wrecking Ball say it’s time for that to change.
